My friend ask me how to add a banner (picture) to header blog. Are you too? these is the guides to add a banner to your header.

First of all, you must make a banner. You can create your banner with several tools such as adobe Photoshop or corel draw. You can also create it, with online banner maker tool, such as http://cooltext.com.

And then upload your banner to image hosting, to upload a banner to image hosting you can read my previous post at Upload to image hosting or Google page creator.

Click Save button.

Step 4. You will need a text editor. A word processor like OpenOffice.org or Microsoft Word is not suitable. Notepad, or any other editor that doesn't support any kind of formatting will do fine.

Step 4a. Open lightbox.css in your editor. You need to change two settings. Use your editor's find function to find them if you're having trouble locating them. Replace:

Step 4b. Open lightbox.js in your editor. You need to search for and then replace:

Where "your-google-id" is, um, your Google id. If you're not sure about this part, it's OK to wait until we've uploaded the images, at which point you'll be able to copy+paste their URLs.

Step 5. Head to your Google Pages site manager. If you closed the site manager, you can get to it by going to http://pages.google.com/ and logging in.

On the right side is an "Uploaded stuff" section. Click the arrow to open it up if it is not already open. There should be a small "[upload]" link at the bottom. Click it.

Now, for each of the files we copied out of the Lightbox zip, click on the "Browse" button, and select the file on disk. This will upload the files to the website. If you weren't sure about the image URLs for lightbox.js earlier, you can upload lightbox-loading.gif and lightbox-closelabel.gif now, click on their names when the upload is complete, and then copy+paste the URL from your browser's address bar.

Just double-check that the following files appear in the uploaded file list.

Remember to change "your-google-id" in the URLs. Again, if you're not sure about the URLs, go to the Google Pages site manager, right-click on the links for the uploaded files, and select "Copy Link Location" or "Copy Address." Clicking on the links directly will usually just download them.

Save your template.

You're done.

How To Add Lightbox to Blogger (Step 1-2-3)

Lightbox is a simple, unobtrusive script used to overlay images on the current page. It's a snap to setup and works on all modern browsers.
For example, you can click the image bellow to see the result:

Step 1. Create a website using http://pages.google.com/. You should be able to use your Blogger login here. It will create a website at "your-google-id.googlepages.com". When the site manager comes up, leave it open.

Step 2. Download Lightbox from http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/#download. Extract the zip file to your disk somewhere.

Step 3. Within the extracted files, copy the following files into a temporary folder (location doesn't matter; we're just copying them out for the sake of neatness,) and rename them as specified. We're renaming them since Google Pages doesn't allow you to add folders to your website, and I personally didn't want lots of randomly-named files floating around. This ensures that the purpose of the files is fairly obvious.

This feature is one of features were added into IDM application from many requests of users.
They are:

Added IDM Download Panel for IE and IE based browsers that appears on top of a web-player when IDM detects a multimedia request form the web-player. IDM download panel is used to download and save audio and video files that are played by the web-player. It can be used to download flash videos from sites like YouTube, MySpaceTV, Google Videos, etc

To configure this panel, you can go to Options > In General tab, click Edit button (IDM Download panel for web-player in browsers)

Redeveloped from scratch and completely replaced IDM integration modules for IE and IE baed browsers on more stable ones. Note that previous IDM integration modules were designed for IE 5.0 and were getting obsolete. The new modules also fix problems with "Download with IDM" feature

Integrate Internet download manager into all web Browsers

The way to integrate Internet Download Manager (IDM) into Internet Explorer or FireFox is very simple, we may don't need to discuss here. But to integrate IDM to other web browsers as Safari, Opera or Flock... especially some browsers, their name is so strange. Some people "are in a quagmire" to do that. For this reason, this post will guide you to integrate IDM to any browser in the in the internet, probability percent is 100%!
IDM has a feature so greate but all of users don't know! I will guide you to use it now!

~~ STEP BY STEP TO ACTIVE THIS FEATURE ~~

Step 1: In the main screen of IDM program, you click Options > In General tab, check
“Use advanced browser integration” > Yes > OK to restart computer.

Step 2: When computer is restarted, you click Options againt > In General tab, you will be suprised because the interface change a little.

You will see Add browser button is replace by checkbox name “Dectect new applications that try to download files from the Internet”. Check to this checkbox and then you will se a dialog "If you want to integrate Internet Download Manager in to an application that is running, you will need to restart the application, because IDM cannot integrate into the applications that are already running. After integrate IDM into the application you may turn off 'Detect New Applications' option for better performance"

Step 3: As from for now, IDM will alway ready to capture any files download by any web browsers, that try to download file from the internet. You have fun because all of files download will be captured by IDM!

3 ways to delete NavBar

Backup and Restore blog

Good news for believer of Blogger, this service has supported two manipulations, they are Backup and Restore. With new feacture, you won't worry about your blog can die anytime, anywhere... with a big posts for along time. You can backup all of posts and comments to store, after you can restore all of them to your blog if you want! Great!

First, you have to sign in to your blogger account by address http://draft.blogger.com. Then, click Settings, a a new webpage will appear with two strings "Import blog" and "Export blog" blue color.

EXPORT BLOG
Backup posts and comments of your blog by export a file with .xml format. When you click "Export blog", you will see the same with image bellow:

Click EXPORT BLOG to continue, then choose where you save your backup file.

IMPORT BLOG
Restore your blog by upload a .xml file - file you have backed-up before. When you click "Import Blog" you can see the same image bellow:

Click Browser button to choose your backed-up file, type the string show in image and last click IMPORT BLOG to complete! Option "Automatically publish all imported posts" means all posts and commets after Restored, they will be published automatically.

With two manipulatios: Backup and Restore, you can use it to move your blog to "new home", don't have to copy posts one by one manual!
